Story: BLUE CHIP RECRUITING ROUNDUPS HEAD FOR TYLER

East Texas Stop This Sunday

The 2008 Blue Chip Recruiting Roundup heads for East Texas this weekend (Sunday, March 2) for a tour stop in Tyler. Junior players (Class of 2009) and their parents are encouraged to attend the recruiting education workshop at the APEC (Accelerate Performance Enhancement Center in Tyler for a discussion on the college football recruiting process. Each athlete will fill out a questionnaire and have his picture taken for possible inclusion in this summerís edition of Dave Campbellís Texas Football Magazine. Registration for this event begins at 1:30 and the program will start at 2:30 pm.

The Blue Chip Recruiting Roundup is FREE, but players are asked to bring Coach Rodgers either a 20-25 play highlight tape or their best single game (or both). The Tyler workshop is the fifth on this springís tour. Over 400 athletes and their parents have attended the previous Roundups in Abilene, Dallas, Houston, and San Marcos. A final Blue Chip Recruiting Roundup will be held in McAllen on Sunday, March 30.
