Story: BLUE CHIP RECRUITING ROUNDUPS IN FEBRUARY

First Three Dates Announced

The first three dates of the 2008 Blue Chip Recruiting Roundups have been announced. Coach Rodgers and his staff will be in San Marcos on Saturday, February 16, Dallas on Sunday, February 17, and Tyler on Sunday, March 2.
The San Marcos event will be held at Texas State University in the Football Office Complex at the South end of Bobcat Stadium. Registration will begin at 9:30 am and the program will start at 10:30 am. The Dallas program will be held at Ford Stadium on the SMU campus. Registration begins at 1:30 and the program will start at 2:30 p.m.
The Tyler program will be held at the Performance Enhancement Center with registration at 1:30 and program at 2:30.
There will also be a Houston program on Sunday, February 24. Times will be the same as the other Sunday programs, but the site has yet to be announced. Coach Rodgers is also looking at possible programs in both West Texas and South Texas.
Blue Chip Recruiting Roundups are designed for high school juniors and their parents to better educate themselves about the college football recruiting process. Admission is free, but prospects are asked to bring a 20-25 play highlight tape and their best single game tape from the 2007 season. This is not a combine—there is no workout, but players will be measured and have their pictures taken for possible inclusion in the 2008 Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine.
For more information parents, players, and high school coaches are encouraged to email Randy Rodgers at randy@randyrodgersrecruiting.com.
