Story: Blue Chip Recruiting Roundups Coming in February

Recruiting Education Workshops for Juniors

The very popular Blue Chip Recruiting Roundups are set for February. These statewide recruiting education programs for Texas juniors (Class of 2007) and their parents are now in their fourth year. Last year over 400 Texas high school juniors attended one of the four workshops.
The 2006 workshops will be held in Dallas , Houston ,San Marcos, and Nacogdoches. Saturday workshops in Dallas (2/11) and San Marcos (2/18) will begin at 9 am and the Sunday workshops in Houston (2/12) and Nacogdoches (2/19) will begin at 1:30. Juniors may register by going to either the “Programs page” or "Events Page" of this website and downloading the registration forms and information.
The program features a 90 minute discussion of the Division I recruiting process led by Texas Recruiting Consultant Randy Rodgers and a panel discussion featuring current Texas Seniors (Class of 2006), who will be signing National Letters of Intent on February 1. Co-sponsored by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine, prospects will also be filling out questionnaires for the 2006 magazine and have their picture taken for possible inclusion. The programs are free and parents are encouraged to attend. Each player is asked to bring a video/DVD of his best games, plus a short 15-20 play highlight tape.
