Story: LONE STAR KICKING CHALLENGE POSTPONED

All Events on Saturday

Due to 70% rain forecast for Friday due to Tropical Storm Bonnie, the Kickoff and Field Goal Events for the 10th Annual Lone Star Kicking Challenge at Westlake High School in Austin, will be postponed to Saturday morning. 

Registration will remain at 8 am, Competition will begin at 9 am as planned.  The fields are artificial turf, so the fields will dry quickly as the rain ends on Friday night.

Tentative Competition Schedule will be a 9 am start for Kickoff, Field Goal, and Snapping, with the Punters expected to start approximately at Noon.   Snapping and Kickoff finals will be held in the morning;  Punting and Field Goal finals will be held in the afternoon. Parents should adjust their travel schedules accordingly.

Kickers/Punters are reminded to bring four footballs apiece .  Snappers should bring two balls.  All players who have not turned in their insurance forms, should bring them to registration.

"For the first seven years we ran the Challenge as a one day event,", said LSKC director Randy Rodgers.  "We'll do it again this year."
